Clarice and Spencer {Engagement Session}

I have been pondering how I would like to introduce the couple in my latest engagement session.  You see, this is a special engagement session.  Well, of course, all engagement sessions are special :) But this one in particular is special to me.  I am all giddy, happy, and unfortunately a little more emotional than usual posting these images.  The beautiful bride-to-be is my best friend.

Clarice and I met our very first day of college at student orientation seven years ago in Virginia.   Since that day we have become the best of friends :) We have been roommates for more semesters than I can count, have travelled Hawaii and Europe together, seen each other in and out of relationships, and have become quite like sisters, crying over the same sappy parts in ridiculously romantic movies, and singing along to Bieber songs.  Like most girls, we have talked about and dreamed up our perfect husbands and the perfect wedding.  We always promised we would be at each other’s weddings.  She would make my cake (she makes gooood food!), and I would be her wedding photographer.

I graduated from college this past December and Clarice remained in January to finish up her last semester.  In February, she sent me her first text about Spencer, and quite honestly, I had my fingers crossed from that moment that he was the one!  Oh, it was so wonderful talking about their first “unofficial” date that happened to be on Valentine’s Day and the subsequent dates that followed.  To me, it seemed like it all worked like magic and everything just fell into place for the two of them to fall in love.  In April, Clarice graduated from college and moved back down to Arizona and I cheered her on as she and Spencer decided to keep their relationship going long distance.  By May, she was hinting to me that something significant would happen... soon ;)

Just a week and a half ago, I went to Rexburg, ID to visit family and friends.  Clarice decided to come up as well from Arizona to see me and, of course, Spencer.  From the moment I met Spencer, I knew he was perfect for Clarice!  He proposed the night she arrived and of course, she accepted.

Delightfully, I introduce the future Mr. and Mrs. Patino.  And I am pleased as punch to write, I will be at her wedding on August 10th in Mesa, Arizona with camera in hand :)
