Hodge Family

My trip to Idaho and Utah was fabulous mainly because I was able to see so many beautiful friends and take portraits of them.  I just love being able to photograph people I care about so dearly.  I photographed the Hodge family while passing through Pocatello, ID one VERY HOT Sunday afternoon.  Mrs. Hodge is one of my high school friends from Hawaii, and she is also the friend who first introduced me to photography when I was 16.  I remember her showing me a photo (film!) she won an award for, and I thought "Wow.  She's awesome.  This photography thing is amazing!"  She's taught me a lot and even lent me her film camera when I was first learning.  I don't get to see her often so it was such a treat to spend the afternoon with her little family.  I took these photographs three weeks ago, and she has since given birth to a little boy.  I wish I could introduce you to him here, but maybe I'll be able to do that another time ;)  I love these images!  I hope you do, too.
