Salted Prints

Well, I've now been in Historical Processes for a month and here is my second project that I've completed: Salted Prints. I had to redo these prints a few times because of staining, but finally these turned out, and I think they look beautiful! I wasn't sure I was going to like this style so much, but I love it. The photograph with the iron chairs in the park was toned in gold toning. I like this one especially. Essentially, these prints were made with salt water, silver nitrate, and sodium thiosulfate (please forgive me if I spelled these wrong. I'm no chem major). And unfortunately I got some silver nitrate on me....not good. It's been on my fingers for four days! But at least I had fun doing it. I'm really getting into this style of photography. I hope you all are too :)
