I do not even know where to begin! This weekend was fabulous and I experienced my first actual croquet match! This wasn't the croquet in my backyard growing up kind of match. It was St. John's College vs. The Naval Academy. I don't know how the score turned out, last I heard before I ventured off into the crowd was St. John's was killing the other team 25 to 5. Wow. Navy is good at everything else, so I think the score was allowed. I honestly didn't watch the match attentively, I was too busy complementing ladies on their hats and gentlemen on their bow ties and sneaking in a dance. Many people were kind enough to let me photograph them. After all, why else would you dress up so fancy? They were all photograph worthy and I wish I could have stopped every person. There was so much creativity pulsing around me! Thankfully, the fantastic fashion distracted me from the smell of cigars, but they certainly added to the classy atmosphere. Here are a few images from the match. More are to come soon! I hope you love them!
Wow, Jana! It looks like you took a little trip back to the fifties! Cool! That seems like just your thing. I'm jealous. We should throw a party like that one day. :)
